Have extra back to school supplies? A cabinet with extra tolietries, health and wellness items? Consider donating these items to Stuff the Bus!
In partnership with the Student Advancement Foundation and Hand2Hand, the goal is to provide 2,500 backpacks to middle school students filled with health, wellness and back-to-school items. Backpacks will be distributed to several middle schools in the Grand Rapids, Hudsonville and Jenison school systems.
We need you! Help us stuff the bus by donating new/unused items from the list below:
Shampoo Deodorant Binders
Conditioner Toothpaste Folders
Hair gel Toothbrushes Notebooks
Hairspray Pens Hair accessories
Hair brushes/combs Pencils Soap - bar & body wash
Contributions will be accepted at 46 Fifth Third banking centers across Kent and Ottawa Counties through August 25th.
You can also find our big yellow school bus at the following locations:
Tuesday, August 17th - Fifth Third banking center at 3715 - 28th Street SE in Grand Rapids all day from 10:00am until 6:00pm. Everyone who donates this day may enter into a drawing for a $500 in prepaid VISA cards, $250 for yourself and $250 to the classroom of your choice!
Wednesday, August 18th - Fifth Third Ballpark from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. Everyone who donates may register to win an overnight stay at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
Tuesday, August 24th - (no bus, but you won't be able to miss us) Fifth Third Bank Building at 111 Lyon Street in downtown Grand Rapids from 11am until 2p
